Hard Wax vs Soft Wax

Hard Wax vs Soft Wax

You’re tired of razor bumps and shaving. We hear you. Waxing is a great affordable alternative to have smooth skin all the time. You don’t have to go to a high-end salon to get lasting results. You can purchase self waxing kits that get you professional results right at home.

Now that you’ve decided to try waxing at home, the next question is: hard wax or soft wax? Both kinds of wax have their own advantages, which is why you can find both in waxup’s range of products. Let’s get into the differences so you can pick what’s right for you.

Hard wax melts at a high temperature and it’s thick when you spread it on your skin. Honey hard wax tends to work better for sensitive parts of your body, like your bikini line. Hard wax sticks to the hair instead of skin. This means that you can go over the same area more than once with hard wax. You can apply hard wax again in the same session without damaging the skin. Once you’ve warmed the wax, apply it in the direction of hair growth. You can take it off with your hands once it has hardened on your skin (hence the name), but remove it in the opposite direction of hair growth. It doesn’t leave behind as much sticky residue either. When you’re waxing your face, underarms, or bikini line, hard wax is the way to go.

Soft wax works better for large areas, like your legs or back. It sticks to both your hair and your skin, so you’re exfoliating while you’re waxing. Just try not to reapply soft wax to the same area during the same session because that can lead to irritation and redness. Once you’ve spread it evenly over your skin in the direction of hair growth, you’ll want to apply a waxing strip over it and rub it to make sure it’s stuck to the skin. Then, you remove the strip quickly in the opposite direction of hair growth. Remember: apply it just once in a certain area per session.

As you can see, both hard wax and soft wax have their advantages. We offer both kinds in our wide range of products.
